There's a particular kind of attention that landscape photography demands — total presence, no shortcuts. That's what keeps drawing me back out. I'm Rory. Originally from the Netherlands, I moved to the Vail area in pursuit of the mountains and have called it home for over twenty years. These days I explore it on foot, on a bike, and on a snowboard — and with a camera that makes me slow down and actually look. My galleries cover the full range of what catches my eye out here: big alpine landscapes, the texture of forests, small and easily overlooked details, and the movement that gives wild places their energy.
